I’m a former chemist, and I know better, but I went ahead anyway because I was craving these.

Good news: they tasted delicious. Bad news: they spread more than rose and took a little longer to bake through because of the humidity. Nevertheless, thank you for such a tasty and easy version of Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits. As a fellow New Englander, you know that we don’t have RL up here. We have better seafood at a better price. But we no longer lack the biscuits! Thanks again!

I have made this countless times and it always works perfectly. This isn’t a 2-star recipe, it’s been tested by hundreds of readers without ever having the issue you’ve described. I would review the quantities and ingredients that you used.
