Hi Erin! I’m so happy that you are loving the recipes!! You could use Italian dressing in this recipe, you can also try my Chicken Pasta Salad which also has bacon in it and uses Italian Salad Dressing. Some sort of Greek Yogurt dressing would also work well. I am not a huge Ranch dressing fan myself, but the way that this is made (with the Ranch seasoning and the milk/sour cream), tastes much better than the bottled stuff- he might go for it!

Hi Katie, it doesn’t really thicken too much more in the fridge, the sour cream and milk combination are pretty thick already – but it’s important to ensure the pasta is fully cooled when it’s combined with the dressing and other ingredients. 1-3 hours of chilling time is perfect!
