Well, my daughter and my husband didn’t like this at all. my husband complain the whole time he ate it, and my 6 year old daughter refused to eat more than one bite.

But I absolutely loved it. I thought it was amazing. I guess everyone’s different. Since I’m the one reviewing it, I’m giving it five stars. Only thing I might change if I made it again, would be to add a little bit more mustard and I would pair it with broccoli. But everyone’s taste is different.

I love your recipe alternative to canned soup! I didn’t read it in detail but it’s pretty similar to what I’ve done in the past, which was substitute a white sauce plus cheese. But I guessed the amount to make and whether the sauce should be thick, thin or medium. Now I’ll just use your recipe. (A side note: when I use any condensed soup, which is rare, it’s chicken, celery, or cheese soup since I’m not a fan of mushrooms.)

This sounds delicious. What do you think I could sub for the canned soup. I dislike and won’t use canned soup in any recipe. I’ve made soups before when called for in a recipe, but it’s a bit of a hassle. Do you think making a roux and adding chicken stock and milk would work? Mushrooms would be good too. Thank you in advance.

So delicious!!! All around family favorite! I didn’t do chicken (leftover Easter ham 😅) and I forgot the sour cream but it still was amazing. Great dish!
