Hi Amy! You could instead get some slices of soft cheddar 🙂

I can’t find American cheese slices in Melbourne Australia. What flavour or consistency in cheese slices should I be looking for? They look great, I’m looking forward to trying them!

Johnsonville makes a “sandwich size” turkey sausage patty that I’m going to use. Don’t know if they have a pork one.👍🏼

I put a sliced piece of sausage between wax paper and press with a cutting board  until it’s the size I need. Works best when the sausage is just out of the fridge.

Hi Erin, you can let it cool and then assemble!

Hi Meagan, it might be better to wrap each sandwich individually in foil, for overnight storage and for baking!

Just wondering if the fridge would dry out the bread? Thanks!

Hi Laura! I’m so sorry for the delay, I’ve been out of commission with the flu! So I think the paper towel was too wet, it needs to be wrung out well and just damp. This helps keep the bread nice and soft/moist, otherwise it can end up being as hard as a rock. I use this method when I am heating up frozen hot dog/burger buns, bagels, etc… and it works really well. You can also put your microwave on 50% power to ensure that it doesn’t get too hot when reheated, and you can do 40 second increments, flipping in between each, until heated through. I hope that helps! 🙂
