Hi Patricia! I use ground Italian sausage, mild or hot- either one works! I usually go with mild.

I’m so happy you liked the Lasagna Roll Ups Sherri, thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I’ll cut and paste the instructions for the freezer💖: “Freezer: Assemble the lasagna roll ups as outlined. Cover tightly and freeze for up to 3 months. Let it thaw completely prior to baking, then let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to baking or add 10 minutes to covered baking time.”

No problem on missing it, I can see how that’d happen!! I LOVE that your youngest daughter was so excited to try one, she is my kinda girl!! 🙂

In reply to Stephanie.

Thank you! I missed that in the steps. I made these for tonight and had to put one of them in right away. My youngest daughter said she couldn’t wait until dinner to try one.

Hi Tricia, you don’t have to grease the casserole dish (but you can if you’d like), and then step 1 indicates: “Take ½ cup of the marinara sauce and spread it on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.”

Enjoy!!!
