I was skeptical about how close it was going to be to the original version, but it was spot on. The family loved it.

That’s really interesting considering they’re now back on the menu, I had one this afternoon, my first in over two years, and it was covered in green onions. I’ll have to let them know I imagined it all.

Taco Bell hasn’t carried green onions in over a decade, long before they took the Mexican Pizza off the menu. There was a huge recall on green onions and they were removed from all of their menu items, and never returned.

The scallions that we’re growing on farms we’re making people sick years ago from the Taco Bell suppliers just like want happened at chipotle’s so they discontinued and never brought them back, I miss them to. They replaced with chopped up raw tomatoes and I can do without those. When I order they barely give me sauce when I tell them that. It’s a pain. I want to try this recipe. Thank u

You could mix black beans into the ground beef mixture and try spreading that on the tortilla? Or perhaps some rice.

Great recipe and I like that you went the extra mile to develop your own seasoning blend instead of just saying to buy a mix. I would just add two things. Taco Bell also tops them with fresh sliced scallion, and they used to also top it with black olives which was amazing, but they stopped for some reason. Thanks again, I was broken hearted when they stopped selling the Mexican Pizza. It was my favorite fast food anything since childhood.
