I’m so happy you were pleasantly surprised! I really think Turkey Meatloaf is so underrated. Even my skeptical husband is now convinced. He likes it even more than beef. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review Richard!😃

This recipe was amazing.  I had no idea turkey meatloaf could be so delicious.  The meatloaf was perfectly moist and the glaze was just enough to give the meatloaf a perfect touch.  Super delicious!

My 1.5 year son absolutely devoured this while yelling mmmmm and more. Seriously so delicious and such an affordable and easy weeknight dinner with lots of leftovers! I made this with roasted broccoli and buttermilk biscuits and all three recipes were a HIT!

Use a meatloaf pan, but use your finger (or a silicone spatula, or both), to create space around the perimeter of the pan. This allows the 'crust' to develop more but also leaves room for airflow and meat expansion. This is the perfect method for juicy meatloaf that will stay together.]]> In reply to Laurie.

Hi Laurie! You don’t have to make any adjustments by using half turkey and half sausage, although since sausage isn’t as lean, you could use milk instead of half and half if you prefer, but that’s totally optional. I’m going to put the information from the post about using a meatloaf pan below and then let you make that call, I haven’t tried making this particular recipe without a meatloaf pan but I will say that the meat mixture is very soft/tender and I worry that it would fall apart. Here’s what I say about it in the post and I hope that you enjoy this recipe, the flavor is terrific!

Using a Meatloaf Pan:
There is controversy about using a meatloaf pan as it’s said to prevent airflow which can make it tough. I’ve tried making too many meatloaf recipes without one, only to have them fall apart in the oven. (Except for The Pioneer Woman’s Meatloaf which is wrapped in bacon. 😁)

In the past, I have cooked beef meatloaf by shaping it into a loaf and putting it on a broiler pan. Would this work with the turkey? Also, would any adjustments need to be made if I uses half turkey and half Italian sausage?

That should work fine! I’d use metal!
